On Tuesday, July 9th we’ll be at the Magic Stick in Detroit, opening for legendary UK shoegaze/noise act The Telescopes, who are doing their first US tour with a full-band (they’ve been here as a 2-piece in the past). As an added bonus, they’ll be concentrating on songs from their first couple albums that haven’t been played live in years. Touring with them are San Francisco’s LSD and the Search for God and our old friends from Brooklyn, The Vandelles. Tickets are $15 in advance, and doors open at 8pm. We’ll be going on first, so get there early!
We’re about to start recording the our third album, but before that happens we’ve got one more, awesome, show. June 27th we’ll be at The Loving Touch in Ferndale opening for a shoegaze/punk (shoepunk? punkgaze? shpunkze?) double-shot of Bleeding Rainbow (Philly, PA) and Fat Creeps (Boston, MA). As soon as we heard that this bill was coming through town we asked to be a part of it, that’s how stoked we are about this show! Again, this is going to be our last show for a while so we hope to see all our friends there. Doors open at 8pm, $8 21+, $10 under 21. https://www.facebook.com/events/571020596262048/
Also, while we’re chatting, did you make it to the Rogue Satellites‘ release show for their great new album, Other Angels? If not, you missed their awesome cover of our song ‘Did You Hear the Lion Roar, Mr. Wig?’. They did a great job, even with some drunk asshole screwing up the beginning. Luckily for you, the tireless dude behind Front Row Detroit was there to film it. Check it out:
They’ve got a handful of East Coast dates this weekend with fellow Detroiters The Philter in Washington, DC; Brooklyn, NY; and Long Island, NY. If you have the chance, you really should check them out.
Our good friends the Rouge Satellites are releasing their new LP “Other Angles.” The record was recorded and mixed in our very own Space Camp Studios by Eric and Sean.
Stream the record on spotify or snag a digital copy in all the usual places.
Better yet pick up a copy on wax here.
We are celebrating with them by stripping down the instrumentation to preform a special one off set.
June – 1st at the Old Miami – more info.
We just arrived home from one hell of a tour with the Holydrug Couple. Thanks to everyone that came out and made all of the shows outstanding. Glad we kept it short because you guys wiped us completely out of merch. We have less then 100 copies of the second pressing of “Spectra Spirit” on random color vinyl. Grab one from the store before they are all gone. Big thanks to our new brothers from another mother land The Holydrug Couple, and thanks to Haunted Leather, Heaven’s Gateway Drugs, and Suni Daze for all being dudes. See ya Midnight this Saturday for the Metro Times Blowout at Whisky in the Jar.
We have taken shelter in Space Camp Studios to wait out the winter and to start work on new material for a follow up to “Spectra Spirit.” Currently we are about half way through the writing process and are very excited about what we have in the works so far.
Just confirmed a 5 day mini tour this spring with our new friends from Chile The Holy Drug Couple. More spring and summer dates coming soon. *all dates with HDC

Echo Fest III will be happening November 17th, 2012 at PJ’s Lager House in Detroit’s Corktown neighborhood. Echo Fest will feature eight bands performing on two stages, accompanied by odd movies, light-scapes, and psychedelic projections. Set times between the two stages will be staggered throughout the evening to allow for maximum viewing opportunities for the attendees. This year’s lineup of heavy reverb and psych bands includes Echo Fest organizers Sisters of Your Sunshine Vapor, Moon Pool & Dead Band, Future Slang, Moss Folk (Milwaukee, WI), Rogue Satellites, Children of the Emerald Fire (Cincinnati, OH), Michael Mars & The God Particle, and Troubadour Dali (St. Louis, MO). For the past two years, Echo Fest has drawn sell-out crowds to PJ’s Lager House, and this year promises to be no different. Come early to ensure you can get in, tell your loved ones where you’re going in case you can’t come down.
Doors open at 8pm, music starts at 9pm. $8.00 at the door, 18 and up welcome. Join the Facebook Event for updates.
